Commercial Sales Director, Specialty Fenestration Group

Wade Arnold is the Director of Commercial Sales for Specialty Fenestration Group, encompassing U.S. Bullet Proofing & Quikserv. He has been with the company for over 7 years and is responsible for developing and growing the brands within the security fenestration realm. His knowledge and experience encompass many trades, practices, and building product materials. Additionally, Arnold has worked for architecture firms, subcontractors, general contractors, consulting groups, and multiple manufacturers within the industry. In particular, he now specializes in security windows, storefronts, curtain walls and opening systems for ballistic, blast, storm impact, and forced entry protection.

His companies, Quikserv and U.S. Bulletproofing, are premier manufacturers within the security fenestration industry. Their project experience ranges from simple drive thru transaction areas to fully assembled, blast rated international embassies. Arnold is also one of Houston’s former CSI Chapter Presidents and has been a devoted member of the CSI for over 14 years. He initially served as a Committeeman during his first few years and since then, has held numerous roles including Director, Treasurer, Vice President of Finance, and President. He continuously volunteers for committees within the National Glass Association providing industry expertise.

Currently, Arnold serves as a Board Member for the Houston Area Glass Association and was most recently elected to the Texas Glass Association Board of Directors. His devotion to the specification, design, and building communities are apparent in his daily interactions with clients and organizations. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University and a Master’s degree through Syracuse University. He thoroughly enjoys and continues to apply his knowledge for his company, colleagues, and the construction industry. Bill Butler started in the door business in 1981 in Erie, Pennsylvania. While working for Fenestra Corporation, he acquired a foundational knowledge of the door business. The greatest lessons he has learned through the years have been people-focused. When he dreamed of and started Butler Doors in 1997, he wanted to bring his expertise into the industry to leave a mark where it mattered most. This people-focused philosophy has served Bill and Butler Doors well over the years. Abby Butler is a project manager at the University of North Carolina and also supports various projects at Butler Doors. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Education from Vanderbilt University and boasts expertise in coaching and leadership, project management, facilitation, teaching, and instructional design. Ken Cook has 37 years of management and leadership positions across manufacturing, product development, marketing, sales, and advocacy with Allegion. He has worked closely with school districts for the last 20 years understanding their physical safety and security needs. Cook is a recognized expert in physical school safety having worked closely with the Indiana Department of Education, Indiana Department of Homeland Security, and the American Institute of Architects in Indiana. In addition to leading Allegion’s efforts in assisting school districts, Cook serves on the Advisory Council for the Partner for Safer Schools Alliance (PASS). He also serves on the Security Industry Association (SIA) education school safety workgroup. Cook was awarded DHI’s Award of Merit for his industry advocacy work on school safety in 2021 and speaks regularly at conferences throughout the United States on researched based best practices for access control and school safety.

Cook is an emeritus board member for the ACE Mentor program of Indiana. ACE Mentor program mentors high school students about careers in Architecture, Construction and Engineering providing post-secondary education scholarships for ACE students.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech (86), a master’s degree in business administration from the Massey Graduate School of Business, Belmont University in Nashville, TN, a Crime Prevention Through Environment Design Professional Certification, CPD, from the National Institute of Crime Prevention and a Certificate in Education Finance, CEF, from Georgetown University.

Christin Kinman is an end user sales consultant with Allegion, a security company and manufacturer of more than 30 brands sold around the globe, specializing in security around the doorway and beyond. Kinman has a degree in civil engineering from The Catholic University of America and has worked for DC based general contractors such as Clark Construction and Lend Lease. In 2009, she became interested in the intersection of health and the built environment and pursued a Masters in Public Health focused in biostatistics. She worked at the R Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of MD for 5 years working on research projects funded by NIH, SAMSHA, and the Dept of Defense. In 2015, a job opportunity opened at the Archdiocese of Baltimore and she spent 7 years working as a Facilities Project Manager. During this time, she worked closely with the Division of Risk Management on safety and security initiatives.

As part of her work at the Archdiocese, she worked with parishes and schools to apply for grants to fund security improvements and was successful in overseeing the award of over $4M in grants. In 2022, after working closely with Allegion on access control and door and hardware projects for the Archdiocese, she joined Allegion as an end user sales consultant where she works with facility owners to find the best solutions to secure their buildings. She is an active member of ASIS, is a current member of the School Security Standards Technical Committee, charged with developing a school security standard to ANSI standards and has published several articles on security within the ASIS Cultural Properties and Houses of Worship Communities, Security Informed Roundtable, DHI Door Security and Safety Magazine and is a CPTED practitioner.
